Boiler Tubes Replacement All questions concerning the Project Manual will be received via email up until 12/8/2023, by 11:00am to Reynaldo Ramos, rramos@salemstate.edu Project Description and Scope: Pursuant to M.G.L. C149, Salem State University seeks bids from qualified Contractors. The project includes furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to complete the project as shown on the drawings and as described herein. Scope of work includes: o Remove 304 leaking tubes from the boiler and premises. o Furnish and install 304 new 2 1/2 " OD, .105 wall, SA178A, domestic manufacture boiler tube. o The new tubes will be rolled and set then seal welded at the rear pass. o Includes disposal of old tube from site. o Upon completion the boiler will be leak tested to satisfaction. o Includes all permit fees and details and supervision required for said job. Contractor's Use of the Site: The power plant building will be occupied during the entire Project. The Contractor and its forces shall therefore cooperate fully with the Owner in order to minimize conflicts and to facilitate the Owner's use of the building. The Contractor shall organize its Work in a way that minimizes interruption of services and prevents fumes from entering occupied spaces. The timing and duration of necessary interruptions to building systems shall be coordinated with the Owner at least 72 hours in advance, exclusive of weekends and Owner-observed legal holidays.
