Renovation of an educational facility in Bedford, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District (HEB ISD) is soliciting Qualification Statements (hereafter called Qualification Statements) for Construction Manager At-Risk for the replacement of four (4) elementary campuses, per the Specifications/Scope of Work stated elsewhere in this solicitation document. Question Cutt off Date & Time 12/15/2023 05:30:00 PM (ET). Please note that, although notices are issued electronically, responses to this opportunity are to be provided in paper copies, as instructed in the solicitation documents. Since this is a Two-Step process, pricing will not be received during Step One of this process. HEB ISD reserves the right to request interviews of the top responding firms based on questions scripted by the District, if needed. Pricing will be required of firms selected to participate in Step Two, which will be an interview based on questions scripted by the District. Campuses being replaced under this process are: Bell Manor ES (New Location) 1100 Raider Drive Euless, TX 76040 Hurst Hills ES 525 Billie Ruth Lane Hurst 76053 Midway Park ES 409 N. Ector Drive Euless 76039 Wilshire ES 420 Wilshire Drive Euless 76040 Hurst Hills Elementary School Projected Construction Budget: $48,000,000.00 The district is planning to use the prototype campus that was most recently constructed at Bellaire Elementary (2024) as the basis of design. The building footprint will be mirrored to fit on the Hurst Hills site. The building includes a two-story classroom wing that serves grades Pre-K through 6th; specials classrooms for art, music, and school of choice programs; library; administration suite; cafetorium and kitchen; and a gym that will double as an ICC-500 rated tornado shelter. The campus is designed to hold approximately 850 students and is around 92,000 square feet. The site plan includes multiple playgrounds, hard courts, and parking for approximately 150. The replacement campus will be constructed on the same site as the current campus, which will remain operational throughout construction. Upon completion of construction and transfer of operations to the new building, the existing campus will be demolished and remaining site work completed. Wilshire Elementary School Projected Construction Budget: $49,000,000.00 The district is planning to use the prototype campus that was most recently constructed at Bellaire Elementary (2024) as the basis of design. The building footprint will be modified by flipping the library and administration sections in order to orient the main entrance appropriately on site. The building includes a two-story classroom wing that serves grades Pre-K through 6th; specials classrooms for art, music, and school of choice programs; library; administration suite; cafetorium and kitchen; and a gym that will double as an ICC-500 rated tornado shelter. The campus is designed to hold approximately 850 students and is around 92,000 square feet. The site plan includes multiple playgrounds, hard courts, and parking for approximately 150. The replacement campus will be constructed on the same site as the current campus, which will remain operational throughout construction. Upon completion of construction and transfer of operations to the new building, the existing campus will be demolished and remaining site work completed. Midway Park Elementary School Projected Construction Budget: $53,000,000.00 The district is planning to use the prototype campus that was most recently constructed at Trinity Lakes and Arbor Creek (2020) as the basis of design. The building includes a two-story classroom wing that serves grades Pre-K through 6th; specials classrooms for art, music, and school of choice programs; library; administration suite; cafetorium and kitchen; and a gym that will double as an ICC-500 rated tornado shelter. The campus is designed to hold approximately 850 students and is around 92,000 square feet. The site plan includes multiple playgrounds, hard courts, and parking for approximately 150. The replacement campus will be constructed on the same site as the current campus, which will remain operational throughout construction. Upon completion of construction and transfer of operations to the new building, the existing campus will be demolished and remaining site work completed. The Contractor should also be aware that the adjacent Trinity High School will be under construction concurrently to Midway Park. Bell Manor Elementary School Projected Construction Budget: $54,000,000.00 The district is planning to use the prototype campus that was most recently constructed at Bellaire Elementary (2024) as the basis of design. The building includes a two-story classroom wing that serves grades Pre-K through 6th; specials classrooms for art, music, and school of choice programs; library; administration suite; cafetorium and kitchen; and a gym that will double as an ICC-500 rated tornado shelter. There will be added square footage to this campus to provide additional Special Education classrooms. The campus is designed to hold approximately 900 students and is around 97,000 square feet. The site plan includes multiple playgrounds, hard courts, and parking for approximately 150. The replacement campus will be constructed at the district-owned FEW / KEYS High School campus. This building will be vacated prior to construction and will be demolished as the first phase of construction to make room for the new campus
