The advertisement for bids is for the award of a Job Order Contract (JOC). Work is accomplished by issuing Task Orders to the successful contractor during the term of the contract. The scope of work may include repair, alteration, modernization, maintenance, rehabilitation, demolition and construction of buildings, structures, or other real property 730 calendar days from the date of notification to Contractor of executed Contract or when the cumulative amount of issued Task Orders reaches the Maximum Contract Value, whichever comes first. The Contract Term may be extended up to 5 years to complete the work of issued Task Orders, but no new Task Orders will be issued after the first 4 years The Maximum Contract Value is $5,000,000 with a guarantee to receive opportunity to perform a minimum of $50,000 worth of Task Order(s) to be issued during the Contract Term. For details, contact Antonio Tom by phone at (415) 581-2310 or by email at Antonio.Tom@sfgov.org 4) For information on the City's Contractor Development Program, call (415) 986-3999 or email cdp@imwis.com 5) The Specifications include liquidated damages on each task order, amount to be determined on an individual task order basis. 6) Payment for each task order will be on a lump sum basis, and progressive payments will be made on task orders exceeding 45 calendar days in construction duration. 7) Corporate surety bond or certified check for no less than $125,000, an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the Initial Performance Bond and Initial Payment Bond amount of $1,250,000, must accompany each bid Each Task Order will include liquidated damages, and each Task Order will be on a Lump Sum basis computed using pre-set Unit Prices and the Adjustment Factors. Progressive payments will be made on Task Orders with construction duration of more than 45 calendar days. The Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible responsive bidder. A bid may be rejected if the City determines that any of the bid item prices are materially unbalanced to the potential detriment of the City. Only San Francisco Contract Monitoring Division certified Micro-LBE Contractors are eligible to bid on this Set-Aside Contract in accordance with SFAC Chapter 14B. Certified Micro-LBE prime bidders must perform at least 25% of the contract work. Bid discounts, LBE Subcontracting Participation Requirement, and Good Faith Efforts are not applicable for this contract.
