Annual Mowing Maintenance of the City of Mesquite - Large Lots. Question Deadline 12/14/2023 at 12:00 PM CT All questions must be submitted via Periscope or email by Ryan Williams, Manager of Purchasing at purchasing@cityofmesquite.com. liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails or refuses to enter into the contract for any of the following reasons: 1) The successful bidder fails to provide insurance as required in the contract documents within five (5) business days of notification that bidder is the apparent low bidder. 2) The successful bidder fails, within ten (10) calendar days from award of the bid by the Mesquite City Council, to submit properly executed performance and payment bonds as required by the Contract. If no performance and payment bonds are required, such security is subject to forfeiture as liquidated damages if the successful bidder fails or refuses to deliver all materials, equipment and or services in accordance with the bid and specifications. SCOPE OF WORK The intent of this Contract is to secure by private contract the Annual Mowing Maintenance of City of Mesquite - Large Lots within the corporate boundaries of Mesquite, Texas for the spring, summer and fall of 2024. The Contractor (successful bidder) shall have the option to renew this Contract for up to four (4) one-year additional terms after the Initial Term being Additional Terms under the same terms and at the bid price set forth herein. Any renewal must be agreed-to by the parties in writing. This option shall not be available if the City Mesquite is, for any reason, not satisfied with any aspect of the Contractor's performance in 2024. The City of Mesquite reserves the right to enforce the performance of this contract in any manner prescribed by law or deemed to be in the best interest of the City in the event of breach or default of this contract. City of Mesquite reserves the right to terminate the contract immediately in the event the successful proposer fails to. Bidders shall submit a Cashier's or Certified Check or a Bid Bond from a reliable surety company in the amount of five percent (5%) of bid. If a Bid Bond is submitted, the forms provided herein must be complete and signed by a surety licensed to do business in Texas.
