The Tupelo City Council voted unanimously to approve a $283,901 with Grenada-based Townes Construction Company Inc. for drainage improvements on Gun Club Road, almost half the estimated cost. _______________________________________________________ As of February 6,2024, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. This work consists of the replacement of existing pipe culvert cross drain with precast concrete box culvert on Gun Club Road. The work will include but is not limited to earthwork, storm drainage, base and pavement. Defined quantities to be bid are specified in the Contract Documents. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the City of Tupelo, Mississippi, on negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), shall be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid.
