The R.M. of Bratt's Lake No. 129 invites tenders for the load, haul and spread for our road gravelling program. The municipality generally spreads approximately 18,000 yards of road gravel per year. The pits are currently located at NE 30-6-23 W2 & SW 12-17-28 W2. The pit located at NE 30-6-23 W2 is approximately 50 miles to the southern edge of the municipality. The pit located at SW 12-17-28 W2 is located approximately 45 miles to the western edge of the municipality. Each pit provides approximately 50% of the total yearly amount. You will be required to provide all of the equipment to load, weigh and spread the gravel. The weigh scale will be on the loader and will provide printable tickets. Tenders should state the cubic yard mile price for the year 2024 only. If your price will fluctuate based on the fuel price please state the yard mile price based on the current fuel price and provide a scale of the price based on fuel cost. Do not use a fuel surcharge percentage. The yard mile price charged during the haul would be based on the average fuel cost for each month. The successful bidder will be required to submit renewed bids for the years 2025 and 2026 prior to December 31 of the previous year. Should Council deem that the submitted price for those years is too high of an increase in relation to the previous years price then the Council reserves the right to terminate the agreement and retender. The municipality will be the sole judge of compliance with the specifications of the tender. If the municipality accepts a bid, the successful Bidder will be subsequently notified that the bid has been accepted. The notice will be mailed to the address shown on the Quote Sheet, and such notice will be deemed to be received in seven (7) Calendar Days of the date of mailing.
