Site work for a civil project in Steele City, Nebraska. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Village of Steele City, Nebraska invites qualified engineering firms to submit statements of qualification for a Water System Improvement project. The activities include replacement of a transmission water main line, upgrades to an existing newly constructed booster station, water storage tank and water meters. The anticipated deliverables include quarterly progress report; a final report; the installation of a water main transmission line from Endicott to Steele City, including any necessary improvements at the booster station, a water storage tank and water meter; engineering design and bidding services; transmission main station point of installation; storage tank and post bacterial testing. The expected outcomes will result in sustainable infrastructure improvements which should last well beyond 40 years of operational lifespan, with significantly lower operation and maintenance costs. This will also bring the village of Steele City back into compliance with the Safe Drinking Water Act Qualifications will be reviewed by the Village Board and final selection of the engineer firm will occur at a meeting on January 9th, 2024.
