Saving Project...
Renovation of a mixed-use development in Hebron, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage; and transportation facility.
This Project is to upgrade the energy and fiber as the existing power panels and network capabilities in the Parking Garage are the original install. An overall condition assessment was performed which indicated the need for updating to current standards after years of normal wear and tear plus numerous modifications to wiring and panel adjustments for various projects over 30+ years. The Parking Garage is also maxed out on power availability. The panels, power (and backup), and network require replacements and routing modifications to support infrastructure improvements that require power or to capture/monitor power (i.e., solar). This includes but not limited to the addition of networked devices via gateways, powered-signage, cameras, pay-on-foot kiosks, EV chargers (and networked system), etc. The Garage consists of four parking structures constructed in 1979 (Terminal 2), 1988, 1995 and 2000 (Terminal 3 Central, West, and East respectively). Due to the nature of construction over the history of the garage, recent modifications (section removed, new exit plaza, etc.), power and networking sources are dated, limited, and not in ideal locations to support future enhancements (i.e., network and power supply line points of access). The Garage was built prior to present day power needs that new technology could bring. CVG staff (Parking, Facilities, Innovation, and IT) have identified numerous use cases where an update to energy and fiber as beneficial for the life of the garage. Some use cases (i.e., EV charging) have revenue potential implications while others are intended to improve energy efficiencies and overall customer experience.
