Project will rebid in a couple of weeks.** GENERAL INFORMATION 1.1 As part of its maintenance and general security program, Amherst County desires to replace a total of approximately 123 exterior doors and hardware in seven (7) of its school buildings and two interior doors and hardware at one (1) of its school buildings. Madison Heights Elementary School; 287 Learning Lane, Madison Heights, VA 24572 o 17 Doors (Doors and Hardware) C. Amherst Middle School; 166 Gordons Fairground Road, Amherst, VA 24521 o 18 Doors (Doors and Hardware) D. Amherst Elementary School; 156 Davis Street, Amherst, VA 24521 o 19 Doors (Doors and Hardware) E. Amelon Elementary School; 132 Amer Circle, Madison Heights, VA 24572 o 21 Doors (Doors and Hardware) F. Central Elementary School; 575 Union Hill Road, Amherst, VA 24521 o 21 Doors (Doors and Hardware) G. Temperance Elementary School; Lowesville Road, Amherst, VA 24521 o 12 Doors (Doors and Hardware) The one (1) school in which the interior doors are to be replaced include: H. Elon Elementary School; 147 Younger Drive, Madison Heights, VA 24572 o 2 Doors (Doors and Hardware) All work for this project shall be accomplished during non-school hours including nights, weekend, holidays or designated school breaks. Any work required for project completion that is incomplete and not accepted by the school's Chief Operations Officer shall be subject to a liquidated damages penalty of $500.00 per day, commencing on June 30, 2024.
