The Contractor shall provide on-call, as-needed general construction services on a time and materials basis, per solicitation specifications. The Virginia Department of Transportation (herein referred to as "VDOT") is soliciting bids from qualified firms to establish a time and materials contract to provide on-call, as-needed General Construction Services within the Lynchburg District in accordance with the specifications, terms and conditions contained in this Invitation For Bid (IFB). The Contractor shall possess a Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Contractor's license Class "A" or "B". VDOT reserves the right to add or remove sites during the contract period. Pre bid meeting: Due to the importance of all bidders having a clear understanding of the specifications/scope of work and requirements of this solicitation, participation at this prebid conference will be a prerequisite for submitting a bid. Bids will only be accepted from those bidders who are represented at this prebid conference. No one will be admitted to join the conference after 10:05 AM EST. If you plan to participate in the mandatory pre-bid conference you must provide the following information via email to Sandra.Mullins@VDOT.Virginia.gov no later than 5:00 PM EST on the business day prior to the scheduled conference. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be addressed to Sandra Mullins at Sandra.Mullins@VDOT.Virginia.gov The issuing office shall determine whether any addendum should be issued as a result of any questions or other matters raised. Provide questions no later than 5:00 PM EST on December 15, 2023.
