WLB MOORING AND STRUCTURAL PIER UPGRADES AT USCG BASE HONOLULU, HAWAII This project includes the Design/Build for Berth G Pier extension at Coast Guard Base Honolulu, HI. The work consists of, but not limited to, Demolish and dispose of floating pier at Berth F; Constructing a fixed pier extending from Berth G for the purposes of berthing a 225-ft Seagoing Buoy Tender (WLB); and providing a shore tie mound. If funding is availabe, Option Items include construction of a floating pier to berth a 154-ft Fast Response Cutter, (FRC); and construct a pier extension between existing bulkhead and new wharf. See solicitation and specifications for full description. Project specifications, Drawings, and Attachments will be distributed to the Pool 3 Phase II Offerors via DoDSafe. Description of the work: Base Item 0001: Design-build the Construct Berth G Pier extension at Coast Guard Base Honolulu, Hawaii to include demolition and disposal of the floating pier at Berth F (3,204 GSF); complete demolition/disposal of the Station Annex (2,712 GSF); and complete demolition/disposal of the shore-ties and power mounds located in Berths F and G. Work also includes construction of a fixed pier extending from Berth G for the purposes of berthing a 225- ft Seagoing Buoy Tender (WLB), to include providing all necessary hardware and utilities for a shore tie mound as located in RFP documents. Option Item 0001: The scope includes design/build the floating pier to serve as Berth F (new FRC Berth) to include, but not limited to, providing all necessary hardware and utilities for a shore tie mound. Option Item 0002: Design/build a pier extension between existing bulkhead and new pier to fill in the gap between the existing bulkhead and new pier. Period of Performance: Eight hundred sixty-nine (869) calendar days from award for the Base Items and Option Items. Method of Evaluation of Options: The following Option Clause shall be included in the task order: FAR 52.217- 5 Evaluation of Options. Except when it is determined in accordance with FAR 17.206(b) not to be in the Government's best interests, the Government will evaluate offers for award purposes by adding the total price for all options to the total price for the basic requirement. Evaluation of options will not obligate the Government to exercise the option(s). Liquidated Damages: Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,623.00 per day will be assessed, if necessary, in accordance with Section F.2 of the contract Insurance/Bonds: Please review Section H.2 of the contract for insurance requirements, Section I of the contract for bonding requirements and Section L.7 of the Solicitation for Bid Guarantee required for this task order.
