Notice ID- 15B10624Q00000006A,15B10624Q00000014, 23Z1AH9 The Federal Bureau of Prisons plans to issue 15B10624Q00000026 to Replace Sprinkler Piping at the Federal Correctional Complex Butner located in Butner, North Carolina. The NAICS code for this requirement is 238220. The small business size standard is 1300 employees. Any contractor interest in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must be registered at www.sam.gov. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a written offer which will be considered for award. The solicitation will be available on or after, March 29, 2024, with a due date of April 29, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time. The solicitation will be distributed solely through sam.gov website. Hard copies of the solicitation document will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. Any questions concerning this solicitation will need to be submitted in writing to R. Smith, Contract Specialist at rusmith@bop.gov or J. All questions will be posed to Mr. Smith no later than Wednesday, Question Deadline 05/02/2024 at 1:00 PM ET SCOPE OF WORK: The work Includes, but is not limited to the following: 1) The contractor wilt replace the existing dry pipe sprinkler system piping with the same size of piping that exist to Include all pipe fittings, hangers if needed, drain valves, and sprinkler heads. 2) The Contractor will utilize the existing drawings and site Investigation to determine pipe sizes. 3) The replacement ofthe dry pipe system will start at the valve. If during the site Investigation of the system, the valve is determined that it needs to be replaced then the contractor must notify the COR. 4} The contractor will provide a certification of the system and Inspection report upon completion of the piping replacement. 5) All work must be done by a certified contractor for sprinkler pipe installations. 6) The contractor will turn over all pfping removed to the FBOP for recycling. 7) The contractor will verify that all components of the system are communicating and working properly. 8) Contractor will provide all training for operation, maintenance and inspection of system. 9) The Contractor must have the system detailed by a NICET Level 4 or equal system technician. 10} The Contractor will be responsible for replacement of any ceiling material that has to be removed to install the dock sprinkler systems. 11) The Contractor wHI be responsible to replace any attic insulation that is destroyed during piping Installation. Any insulation that shows signs of water damage from leaks will also be replaced. 12) The Contractor wlll make ceiling repairs in the Training Center from any leaks. The project shall comply with all appropriate State and Federal codes and regulations, Including the latest editions of the International Building Code, International Plumbing Code, International Mechanical Code Email offers will be accepted at Rusmith@bop.gov, J2xhayes@bop.gov and Bmckeown@bop.gov. o HIRING GOALS: Hiring goals for this project are 22.8% for minorities and 6.9% for females - A "Good Faith" effort should be put forth by the contractor to achieve these goals.
