Demolition and site work for a multi-residential development in Buffalo, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a multi-residential development; and for the demolition of a multi-residential development.

Work Specifications for Multiple Properties - Dwelling Only 149 Northland Avenue, Buffalo 236 Brunswick Boulevard, Buffalo 702 Norfolk Avenue, Buffalo Roof and gutters scopes of work are the same for all properties, except do not replace collapsed porch roof on 702 Norfolk, this portion will be demolished. All debris will be cleaned from exterior, interior and attic and properly disposed of off-site. Contractor shall inspect all rafters and roofing structure and repair as necessary. Contractor shall install new minimum 1/2 inch exterior grade OSB on entire roof ensuring no gaps over 1/4 inch throughout. Contractor shall install all new flashings at all penetrations of roof, new ice shield at all valleys and roof penetrations and at eaves from facia to a minimum of 48 inches past interior walls, further ice shield shall wrap around facia boards. The remainder of the roof shall have roofing felt as recommended by the shingle manufacturer. The contractor shall install new drip edges and other trim as necessary for a complete job. After preparation new GAF Timberline architectural shingles with lifetime warranty (or equivalent) shall be installed on entire roof. Replace Gutters and Downspouts: o Install new gutters, downspouts, and splash blocks Details: After installation of roofing is complete, minimum 6-inch seamless gutters shall be installed at all eaves. Downspouts shall be installed at a minimum at each corner of dwelling with gutters pitched to evenly distribute water from roof to each downspout. Concrete splash blocks shall be installed at the bottom of each downspout directing water away from the dwelling foundation. Work Specifications for 249 East Street, Buffalo o These specifications are ONLY for the detached garage behind the house. No work on dwelling. Detached garage - replace roof o Remove old roofing o Install new OSB sheathing, flashings, ice shield, and drip edges o Install new architectural shingles Details: The contractor shall remove all roofing materials and trim from the garage roof. The framing and rafters shall be inspected and repaired as necessary. After repairs to framing new minimum 1/2 inch exterior grade OSB shall be installed on entire roof with minimum 1/4 gaps throughout. Ice shield shall be installed on entire roof wrapped around facia boards. New drip edges and other trim as necessary shall be installed on roof. After preparation new GAF Timberline architectural shingles with lifetime warranty (or equivalent) shall be installed on entire roof. Detached garage - replace gutters and downspouts o Install new gutters, downspouts, and splash blocks Details: After installation of roofing is complete minimum 6-inch seamless gutters shall be installed at all eaves. Downspouts shall be installed at a minimum at rear corners of garage with gutters pitched to distribute water from roof to each downspout. Concrete splash blocks shall be installed at the bottom of each downspout directing water away from the garage foundation. MINORITY/WOMEN-OWNED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE UTILIZATION This stabilization project will be funded by New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR). NYS-certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid. To be considered certified as an M/WBE, the business enterprise must be listed on the NYS M/WBE directory. If the awarded bidder is not a NYS certified M/WBE, they will be asked to record their subcontractor M/WBE utilization. Materials purchased from a NYS-certified M/WBE supplier count towards the total percentage of M/WBE Utilization. Purchases will be prorated to 60% of the contract value.
