Binghamton University is seeking a qualified contractor to supply and install laboratory casework, plumbing fixtures and equipment in the Science III Building on the Binghamton University Campus. This cast-in-place concrete building was constructed in 1970 and is undergoing a critical maintenance project. Casework includes but is not limited to, solid phenolic countertops and cabinets. Plumbing fixtures include but are not limited to, emergency eyewash and shower fixtures, laboratory faucets, and stainless steel phenolic sinks. Equipment includes but is not limited to overhead service carriers, bio safety cabinets, fume hoods and mobile wire shelving units. Contract term: 270 Calendar Days Construction is currently underway and portion are scheduled to be completed July 1, 2024 and the remaining is to be completed by September 2024. Installation should be timed to begin near the completion of construction of each area of the building. Once the installation begins, the contractor awarded will have approximately 14 to 30 days to complete the installation process depending on scope and location. This project is Phase1 of a three phase project each consisting of interior demolition and renovation. The phase encompasses approximately one third of the building's square footage and will remain occupied during the upgrades. Therefore, work will need to be coordinated to accommodate the occupants that will continue to reside within the building during the construction process.
