The project consists of the reconstruction of Campbell Road between Vandemark Road and Kuther Road, including curbs, drainage inlets, and roadway. State of Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates apply. Any and all questions regarding the referenced project must be submitted through the Bid Express website no later than 1 :00 p.m. (EST) on Monday, January 8, 2024. Questions submitted outside of Bid Express will not be answered. All proposals shall be accompanied by a bond in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the Bid to the satisfaction of the City Manager or by a certified check made payable to the City of Sidney in the sum of at least ten percent (10%) of the Bid on a solvent bank, as a guarantee that if the Bid is accepted, a Contract will be entered into and its performance properly secured within seven (7) working days after written notification of acceptance has been given. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the Contract to the lowest and best bidder. The City reserves the right to waive any informality or irregularity discovered in any Bid, which in the City's judgment best serves their interest. The City reserves the right to award any, all, or a combination of Bid items, if applicable. The Owner reserves the right before any award of the Contract is made to require of any Bidder to whom it may make an award of the principal contract, a non-collusion affidavit. Substantial completion of the project shall be on or before September 27, 2024. Final completion of the project and readiness for final payment shall be on or before October 11, 2024. Substantial Completion: Two Hundred Fifty Dollars and No Cents ($250.00) per day beyond the substantial completion date. Final Completion: Five Hundred Dollars and No Cents ($500.00) per day beyond the final completion date.
