The City of Fall River, in coordination with the Community Development Agency invites sealed bids from General Contractors for the Greater Fall River Food Pantry Interior Floor Renovation in accordance with the drawings and specifications prepared by William Starck Architects, Inc. and dated November 30, 2023. Estimated project cost: $90,000 Scope of work includes but is not limited to: The removal of the existing concrete floor coating system in its entirety and concrete floor slab patch and crack repairs. Installation of a new resinous flooring system, inclusive of an integral wall cove base, and installation of new metal edge transitions. A minimum combined MBE/WBE participation of 5% of the overall construction cost has been established for this project. The successful bidder will also be required to comply with the provisions of Chapter 306 of the Acts of 2004 in regard to required OSHA approved safety & Health Training. The Fall River Community Development Agency is a partner on this project; therefore, the Davis-Bacon Act applies. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c. 30, 39M and prevailing wage rates apply to this project as determined by the Massachusetts Department of Labor Standards and the US Department of Labor. All bids must include 6 copies, 1 original and 1 flash drive and be accompanied by a bid deposit equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of bid in the form of cash, certified check, bank treasurers or cashier's check, or a bid bond from a responsible surety company licensed to do business in the state of Massachusetts. A payment bond in the amount of 50% of the bid will be required by the successful bidder. The City of Fall River reserves the right to reject any and all bids when doing so is deemed in the best interest of the City of Fall River. The Community Development Agency intends to award a contract within thirty (30) days of bid opening.
