The Work includes, but is not limited to the design, procurement and installation of a holistic upgrade of theatrical production equipment and systems in the Broomfield Auditorium, together with all incidentals and miscellaneous items necessary to do the Work. The auditorium is 6,800 SF and seats 286 people. Buyer Preferences, Guidelines & Requirements General Requirements - Insurance Required The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities in proposals and to reject any or all proposals. Scope of Work Broomfield desires to have a holistic approach to upgrading the outdated lighting and production technology and equipment in the auditorium. It aims to enhance the overall user experience, optimize functionality, and ensure the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and infrastructure for upcoming productions and events. The successful consultant will provide guidance on access issues, as well as recommend equipment that is appropriate for the size, scope, and use of the Auditorium and our community-based users. This project will require the consultant to first provide a comprehensive analysis and set of recommendations for upgrades to the Broomfield Auditorium's lighting and production technology and equipment prior to developing a design. The proposed scope of work encompasses the following: 1. Lighting System Replacement and Access Solutions a. Replace existing lighting fixtures with Professional Theatre Standard LED lights to improve performance and energy efficiency. b. Explore innovative solutions for access to the lighting system, considering alternatives to traditional scaffolding, such as the incorporation of chain motors or other suitable options. c. Replace major system components, including dimming panel, front-of-house lighting control board and associated lighting controls and all necessary parts. d. Assess the feasibility of introducing a high-side lighting tree for stage-right and stage-left from the balcony, considering portability and safety measures for efficient deployment and dismantling. 2. Audio System Enhancement a. Consider including the replacement of the existing audio system, including speakers, rack equipment, and necessary components, to ensure an upgraded and high-quality audio experience for the audience. b. Evaluate the possibility of integrating choir microphones, ensuring optimal placement and easy retraction to avoid interference with stage productions. 3. Projection and Visual Enhancements a. Explore the integration of high-quality projection options, taking into account limitations such as stage use and the existing infrastructure to enhance visual experiences during performances. b. Investigate the feasibility of integrating an ultra-short-throw lens projector solution for improved viewing and minimal shadows, ensuring compatibility with the current setup and screen requirements. 4. Ancillary Equipment and Space Optimization a. Assess the need for additional equipment, such as stage rails, curtains, truss, rigging and related accessories, to support various production requirements. b. Evaluate the feasibility of moving the sound booth upstairs, considering space optimization and the need for seamless integration with the overall project design. 5. Overall Facility Improvements and Aesthetics a. Consider integrating LED technology for the lobby lighting, ensuring a visually appealing and energy-efficient ambiance within the facility. b. Evaluate the potential for implementing soundproofing solutions for the sound booth, contributing to an enhanced acoustical environment and improved operational efficiency. 6. Comprehensive System Audit and Future Considerations
