Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Porterville, California. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Work includes grading and installation of a dg fire lane, installation of 2 dry wells, installation of mow strip Vandalia/Pioneer Fire Lane 271 E College Ave, Porterville, CA 93257 TIME OF COMPLETION: The Work shall be completed within 30 calendar days from the date of the Owner's Notice to Proceed. Scope of Work 1. Remove/dispose of existing concrete, top soil, sod for proper grading within planned fire lane from Plano to Pioneer parking lot 2. Perform grading of fire lane for drainage/runoff away from existing sidewalks and buildings as described at pre-bid job walk 3. Perform installation of 2 - 36" diameter by 8' deep dry wells filled with 3/4 " crushed rock as described at pre-bid job walk 4. Replace all existing plastic communication, electric, irrigation, plumbing Christy boxes in the proposed fire lane with traffic rated boxes 5. Raise/lower existing Christy boxes to grade as needed to provide flush condition 6. Perform installation and grading of 20' wide, 6" deep, approximately +/-1,600' long decompose granite fire lane compacted to 95% as described at pre-bid job walk 7. Perform installation and grading of 2" deep decomposed granite in area between the fire lane and existing sidewalks and buildings as described at pre-bid job walk compacted to 95% as described at pre-bid job walk 8. Perform installation of 12" x12" concrete mow strip with two #4 horizontal rebar approximately +/-1,368' along existing turf side of new fire lane as described at pre-bid job walk Completed DIR Information: Within 24 hours of the opening of the bids, the apparent low bidder shall submit completed DIR information on the Subcontractor List to the Porterville Unified School District at its offices located at 600 West Grand Avenue, Porterville, California 93257. QUALIFICATION OF BIDDER: The Owner will not consider or accept any bids from contractors or subcontractors who are not licensed to do business in the State of California, in accordance with the California Public Contract Code of the State of California, providing for the licensing of contractors. In accordance with Section 3300 of said Code, the Contractor shall have a C-8, C-12, or A (General Engineering) license and shall maintain that license in good standing through Project completion and all applicable warranty periods. Only contractors who are registered & approved with Quality Bidders as an approved Porterville Unified School District CUPCCAA bidder will be considered. AWARD: The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and/or waive any informality in any bid received and/or determine in its discretion the responsibility of any bidder, and which bid is most advantageous to the Owner. The owner reserves the right to reject any bid which excludes any part of the scope of work. Unless otherwise required by law, no bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of 30 days after the date set for the opening thereof, or any authorized postponement thereof. The Owner reserves the right to take more than 30 days to make a decision regarding the rejection of bids or the award of the Contract. PREVAILING WAGES: The Project is a public work and under California Labor Code Section 1770 et seq., the Director of the California Department of Industrial Relations ("DIR") has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages and the general prevailing rate for holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the work is to be performed, for each craft, classification or type of worker needed to execute this Contract. Copies of the rates are on file at the Owner's principal office. It shall be mandatory upon the Contractor and on any subcontractor to pay not less than the said specified rates to all workers employed in the execution of this Agreement. DIR REGISTRATION: The Owner will not accept any bid or enter into any contract without proof of the bidder's current registration to perform public work under Labor Code Section 1725.5. Bidders shall not accept any sub-bid or enter into any subcontract without proof of the subcontractor's current registration to perform public work under Labor Code Section 1725.5. LABOR COMPLIANCE: Contractor and all subcontractors shall comply with Labor Code Section 1776. In accordance with Labor Code section 1771.4(a)(1), the Project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. The Contractor and each subcontractor shall furnish a certified copy of all payroll records directly to the Labor Commissioner on a monthly basis, unless directed by the Owner to furnish such records more often, and in the format prescribed by the Labor Commissioner Inclusions: Materials Labor Disposal of spoils Encroachment Permits & Traffic Control Plan (as required) Notes: Contractor responsible for all measurements. Concrete to be 5.5 sack/3000psi minimum. All work to comply with 2022 Title 24. Work to comply with all applicable codes and governing bodies.
