This contract requires the contractor to make good faith efforts to comply with the Minority Business Enterprise MBE and contract provisions. AACPS and the Contractor acknowledge and agree that AACPS will incur damages, including but not limited to loss of goodwill, detrimental impact on economic development, and diversion of internal staff resources, if the Contractor does not make good faith efforts to comply with the requirements of the MBE contract provisions. The parties further acknowledge and agree that the damages that AACPS might reasonably be anticipated to accrue as a result of such lack of compliance are difficult to ascertain with precision. Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to provide an update to the AACPS Strategic Facilities Utilization Master Plan for the school system. Strategic Facilities Utilization Master Plan will build off of information published in the prior Just moved this last sentence from para. A below. AACPS is the fourth largest school system in Maryland and the 39th largest in the nation. In school year 2022- 2023, AACPS operated more than 126 facilities that enrolled over 84,000 students. These facilities include elementary, middle, and high schools as well as administrative and other educational centers, totaling approximately 14 million square feet. In addition to permanent school buildings, 172 relocatable classrooms are located at approximately 60 sites. AACPS reserves the right to waive any minor mistakes in the solicitation or proposal. AACPS reserves the right to negotiate or modify any element of the solicitation to ensure that the best possible arrangements for achieving the stated purpose are obtained.
