The City of Savannah is requesting Statements of Qualification from general contractors for construction of the New Hampstead West Temporary Public Safety Facility. Prequalification is mandatory for all contractors who wish to submit bids on this project. The award of the construction contract will be made to the pre-qualified bidder with the lowest responsive and responsible bid. The project generally consists of the development of a presently forested site into a temporary joint fire-police facility that includes a 2400 SF pre-manufactured modular building for fire company living quarters, a 3000 SF pre-engineered metal building for fire apparatus bays, an approximately 1200 SF modular building for a police sub-station, along with a stand-by emergency generator, parking, driveways, utilities, stormwater accommodations, and landscaping. The total site development is approximately two acres. Specific project components include, but are not limited to, mitigation of existing soil conditions, installation of stormwater pond, stand-by emergency generator, concrete slab and foundations for PEMB; access ramps and stairs for modular buildings, flagpole, motorized O/H doors, installation of radio-PA dispatch system including standalone antenna pole and speaker installations, fire sprinkler system, fire alarm systems, and low-voltage data/communications installations All questions regarding this event must be received by Wednesday, December 8, 2023, at 12:00pm EST Questions must be submitted in writing to Cory Miller (cmiller02@savannahga.gov). The answers to all questions received will be published in addenda issued by the Purchasing Department. Companies must acknowledge all addenda issued in conjunction with this event for their responses to be considered. The City of Savannah reserves the right at any time to modify, waive, or otherwise vary the terms and conditions of this request for Statement of Qualifications including, but not limited to, the deadlines for the submission, the submission requirements, and the Scope of Work. The City further reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, or to withdraw the request for Statement of Qualifications at any time.
