NOTICE is hereby given that the City of Portland, Indiana, hereinafter referred to as the Owner, will receive sealed bid packets for the construction of an EQ Flow Control Basin. In general, the work consists of the construction of a 12 MG wastewater flow equalization basin with an LLDPE-R geomembrane liner. The work includes some site piping, installation of mixers and a pump station, and other ancillary items. Neither Owner nor Engineer has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness or sufficiency of any bid documents obtained from any source other than the sources listed herein. Obtaining documents from any other source may result in obtaining incomplete and inaccurate information including failure to receive addenda. Bids must be submitted on the forms found herein, must contain the names of every person or company interested therein, and shall be accompanied by either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in the amount of 10% of the amount bid with satisfactory corporate surety, or by a certified check on a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the amount of the Bid, subject to conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Maintenance and Guarantee Bond in the amount of 100% of the Bid. All applicable laws, ordinances, and the rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the project throughout. The successful Contractor will be required to enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all employees hired after the date of this Contract through the E-Verify program. The Contractor will also be required to sign an affidavit concerning employment of unauthorized aliens. A copy of the affidavit is included in the Bid Documents. The successful Contractor will also be required to sign a certification regarding no investment activities in Iran.
