The work includes a new influent screening system, upgrades to the influent pumping system, new primary and secondary settling tanks, new flow distribution structures, new flow metering systems, upgrades of the Orbal activated sludge system, new effluent filters and ultraviolet disinfection system, new post aeration and cascade aeration systems, new sludge thickening and storage facilities, new chemical feed systems, new emergency generator, upgrades to the electrical and control systems, yard piping, site improvements and other work as shown and specified in the bid documents. All work shall be completed at the Stony Brook Regional Sewerage Authority's Hopewell Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) located at 92 Aunt Molly Rd, Hopewell Township, New Jersey. The time for completion is 630 calendar days. Certified, Treasurer's or Cashier's Check or bid bond in the sum of 10 percent of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000, Agreement of Surety, Surety Disclosure Statement and Certification (if bid amount is greater than or equal to $800,000), List of Subcontractors, Ownership Disclosure, Bidder's Affidavit, Non-Collusion Affidavit, References, Acknowledgement of Receipt of Changes, Bidders Check List, and Questionnaire are required with each Bid. All applicable surety bonds required in connection with the advertisement and award of the contract shall be written by a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and listed on the current U.S. Department of the Treasury Circular 570. Successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Performance and Payment Bond in the form required by N.J.S.A. 2A:44-147. All questions that Bidders may have regarding the Bid Documents shall be submitted in writing and directed to the Engineer, Mr. Timothy D. Based on the questions submitted, the Stony Brook Regional Sewerage Authority may provide answers which may be in the form of an Addendum to the Bid Documents. Any Addendum will be issued at least seven days prior to the receipt of Bids, (Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays excepted). The Stony Brook Regional Sewerage Authority reserves the right to modify or change any of the Bid Documents by issuance of Addenda For the participation of small business enterprises owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged (SED) individuals. A goal of ten (10) percent for SED participation has been set for this project. The invitation to bid is on an unrestricted basis whereby the successful bidder must fulfill the SED utilization requirements. This contract will be funded in part with funds from the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection and the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust. Neither the State of New Jersey, the New Jersey Environmental Infrastructure Trust nor any of their departments, agencies or employees is, or will be, a party to this contract or subcontract or any lower tier contract or subcontract.
