Site work for a water / sewer project in Union, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project generally consists of approximately 1,301 LF of 10" gravity sewer line (which includes 600 LF of aerial sewer piping on piers) and 432 LF of 8" gravity sewer line, 7 manholes, and associated work tasks for a complete and proper installation. Bidders must deposit security with all bids. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner and shall be for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Information for Bidders. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder. Funding for the project shall be provided by the City of Union. The City of Union Purchasing Policy (including the local purchasing preference) will apply to this project. No bid will be considered unless the bidder is legally qualified under the provisions of the South Carolina Contractor's Licensing Law (South Carolina Code of Laws as amended on April 1, 1999, Chapter 11, Sections 40-11-10 through 40-11-428). Contractors shall have a classification of WL. All bidders are advised that the grant application with cost estimate is available for review. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities, or to reject any or all bids. Bids may be held by the Owner for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids.
