Renovation of a parking garage in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a parking garage.
The Toronto Parking Authority aims to implement EV chargers and Bike Share E-Bike chargers across 5 public car parks located in Toronto, ON as identified in the RFP Documents. The Contractor shall provide all required labor, materials, and equipment to complete the work outlined in this section, which aims to complement the information provided on drawings and specifications. The sites are located at the following locations in Toronto and are to install the following quantities of Electric Vehicle (EV) Chargers: CP093 - 675 Manning Avenue - 6 Level 2 EV Chargers CP504 - 9 Willingdon Boulevard - 1 Level 3 and 8 Level 2 EV Chargers CP041 - 7 Norton Avenue - 1 Level 3 and 6 Level 2 EV Chargers CP4111880 Avenue Road - 6 Level 2 EV Chargers CP650 16 John Street - 6 Level 2 EV Chargers This Scope of Work involves various disciplines across electrical, civil, and structural. The drawings and technical specifications outline all requirements for the Project across the respective 5 sites as per the following in this Section. CP093 - 675 Manning Avenue: The contractor shall supply and install all electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, grounding and bonding from a Toronto Hydro supplied utility transformer as specified in the Single Line Diagram to power six (6) Level 2 EV chargers that are supplied by TPA, installed by the contractor. This scope also includes, but is not limited to, the supply and installation of an electrical distribution panel, install provisions for a future security camera, rework existing lighting circuit to be supplied from the new distribution panel, the removal and replacement of all specified asphalt for electrical trenching, asphalt painting, installation of mechanical protection, and all required signage. As the scope of the work will require the closure of the lot entrance from Manning Avenue during construction, the contractor shall provide suitable barriers and signage directing the public to enter off William Oliphant Lane or Porch View Dances. CP504 - 9 Willingdon Boulevard: The contractor shall supply and install all electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, grounding and bonding from a Toronto Hydro supplied utility transformer as specified in the Single Line Diagram to power six (6) Level 2 EV chargers, one (1) Level 3 EV charger and fifteen (15) EBike chargers that are supplied by TPA. The contractor is responsible for the installation, connection and commissioning of the Level 2 and Level 3 EV Chargers. The E-Bike Share contractor shall install the E-Bike rack. This contractor is to coordinate with the E-Bike Rack installer and provide the final connection to the E-Bike rack charger. This scope also includes, but is not limited to, the supply and installation of an electrical distribution panel, autotransformer and fused isolation disconnect switch for the level 3 charger, the installation of provisions for a future security camera, replacement of existing lighting fixtures with new LED fixtures, rework existing lighting circuit to be supplied from the new electrical distribution panel, the removal and replacement of all specified asphalt for electrical trenching, new curb ramps for five (5) new AODA stalls, asphalt painting, installation of mechanical protection, relocation of an existing TPA Ticket dispenser, and all required signage. CP041 - 7 Norton Avenue: The contractor shall supply and install all electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, grounding and bonding from a Toronto Hydro supplied utility transformer as specified in the Single Line Diagram to power six (6) Level 2 EV chargers, one (1) Level 3 EV charger and fifteen (15) EBike chargers that are supplied by TPA. The contractor is responsible for the installation, connection and commissioning of the Level 2 and Level 3 EV Chargers. The E-Bike Share contractor shall install the E-Bike rack. This contractor is to coordinate with the E-Bike Rack installer and provide the final connection to the E-Bike rack charger. This scope also includes, but is not limited to, the supply and installation of an electrical distribution panel, autotransformer and fused isolation disconnect switch for the level 3 charger, the installation of provisions for a future security camera, replacement of existing lighting fixtures with new LED fixtures, rework existing lighting circuit to be supplied from the new electrical distribution panel, the removal and replacement of all specified asphalt for electrical trenching, new painting and alignment for three (3) new AODA stalls, asphalt painting, installation of mechanical protection, removal and restoration of an existing ornamental stone wall along the Dufferin Street side of the lot, and all required signage. CP411 - 1880 Avenue Road: The contractor shall supply and install all electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, grounding and bonding from a Toronto Hydro supplied utility transformer as specified in the Single Line Diagram to power six (6) Level 2 EV chargers and fifteen (15) E-Bike chargers that are supplied by TPA. The contractor is responsible for the installation, connection and commissioning of the Level 2 EV Chargers. The E-Bike Share contractor shall install the E-Bike rack. This contractor is to coordinate with the E-Bike Rack installer and provide the final connection to the E-Bike rack charger. This scope also includes, but is not limited to, the supply and installation of an electrical distribution panel, install provisions for a future security camera, replacement of existing lighting fixtures with new LED fixtures, rework existing lighting circuit to be supplied from the new distribution panel, the removal and replacement of all specified asphalt for electrical trenching, new painting and alignment for two (2) new AODA stalls, asphalt painting, installation of mechanical protection, and all required signage. CP650 - 16 John Street: The contractor shall supply and install all electrical equipment, conduit, wiring, grounding and bonding from a Toronto Hydro supplied utility transformer as specified in the Single Line Diagram to power six (6) Level 2 EV chargers and twenty-three (23) E-Bike chargers that are supplied by TPA. The contractor is responsible for the installation, connection and commissioning of the Level 2 EV Chargers. The E-Bike Share contractor shall install the E-Bike rack. This contractor is to coordinate with the E-Bike Rack installer and provide the final connection to the E-Bike rack charger. This scope also includes, but is not limited to, the supply and installation of an electrical distribution panel, install provisions for a future security camera, rework existing lighting circuit to be supplied from the new distribution panel, the removal and replacement of all specified asphalt for electrical trenching, asphalt painting, installation of mechanical protection, and all required signage. Tender shall be accompanied by a certified cheque or Bid Bond payable to Toronto Parking Authority in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Tender amount. The cheque will be returned to all Bidders upon the signing of a Contract. The Agreement to Bond, Schedule G - Form 1 must be completed and certified by a Surety Company licensed to conduct business in Canada, and acceptable to the TPA, covering the provision of a Performance Bond for 100% of the Contract price and a Labour and Material Payment Bond for 100% of the Contract price.
