As of 1/17/24, this project has not yet been awarded. The project is expected to be awarded 1/19/24. Any questions or comments generated during the pre-bid meeting will be distributed via addendum. The Township of Middletown Sewerage Authority (TOMSA) owns and operates a 10.8 mgd wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) located at 100 Beverly Way, Belford, NJ. The headworks associated with the WWTP consists of two (2) ANDRITZ Aqua-Screen self-washing continuous fine screens. The screens/compactors associated with the headworks facility are contracted to be rehabilitated by the manufacturer under a separate contract. The screens/compactors to be rehabilitated shall be removed and rehabilitated independently so that one screen/compactor is in operation at all times so that the plant may operate without interruption. TOMSA operates one screen and a time and rotates which screen is in operation. Screen #1 has been removed and is currently being rehabilitated under Phase 1 of this project. The Township of Middletown Sewerage Authority reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the Authority, in accordance with applicable law. Bids must be on the bid form prepared by Remington & Vernick Engineers, in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder on the outside and also bearing on the outside reference to the particular work bid upon. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the Township of Middletown Sewerage Authority in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond.
