2024 Pavement Marking Projects. Project Scope: The City anticipates the scope of work for the Project to consist of the following responsibilities and the following items: o Removal of existing pavement markings and preparation of pavement for installation of new markings (special care should be taken based on the type of pavement the markings are being installed on, a one size fits all treatment will not be accepted) o Installation of new pavement markings included but not limited to: thermoplastic long lines, prefabricated forms such as arrows, wording, etc. o Installation of glass beads to ensure proper retro-reflectivity of all markings o Installation of reflective pavement markers All installed pavement markings shall adhere to the standards set forth by the Texas Manual for Uniform Traffic Control Devices (TxMUTCD). The Project will be designed and constructed so as to meet all applicable federal, state, and local accessibility standards. The selected Offeror will be also responsible for: obtaining all applicable permits and inspections; providing all necessary performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates; and providing the Owner with all manufacturers' warranties and all operations and maintenance (O & M) manuals for all equipment installed. The selected Offeror may be required to perform some or all of the following pre-construction and construction services. Preconstruction Services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, planning and value engineering the Work. Construction Services may include, but not necessarily be limited to, all work associated with construction, occupancy and warranty of the facilities. Project Estimated Budget: The proposed estimated budget for construction costs for this Project is $ 295,000.00 inclusive of all incidental and contingent expenses associated with the construction of the entire scope of the Project. Project Estimated Completion Date: The City has established a target commencement date for construction activities as March 4th, 2024. The projected completion date is estimated to be 45 working days. The City reserves the right to modify the commencement date, subject to Owner and Contractor availability, phase the construction of the Project, or modify the schedule as needed and determined by the City due to modifications in scope. The City of Bryan reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Proposals, to waive any informalities and technicalities, to accept the offer considered most advantageous and to award the Proposal to the vendor offering the best value to the City of Bryan. Additionally, all Proposers are hereby notified that the City of Bryan shall consider all factors it believes to be relevant in the determination of the best value including, but not limited to, the proximity of the Proposer as it relates to their ability to perform the contract for the City of Bryan.
