Renovation of a water / sewer project in Morristown, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

As of February 26, 2024, construction of this project has commenced, however, an exact timeline for construction has not been confirmed. This project will include the removal and replacement of a clarifier mechanism complete (clarifier drive assembly, center column, influent well, rake arms, and skimmer arms), access bridge, electrical conduit, control panel, fiberglass weir, and fiberglass baffles within Clarifier No. 2 at the Township's Woodland Sewage Treatment Plant since they are at or near the end of their useful life and in need of replacement. The Contract Bid Documents may be obtained by any prospective bidder upon payment of a fee for each set of full-sized drawings with specifications by calling 1-877-424-3738 or by online request at website. Shipping charges are additional and variable depending upon the pick-up or delivery option selected by the purchaser. Contract Bid Documents cannot be obtained at the Township Municipal Building or at Mott MacDonald's office. The printing cost is not refundable. The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the base bid, minimum of $500.00 and not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00) and may be given at the option of the bidder by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or a Bid Bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey. Pursuant to P.L. 2004, c.57 (N.S.A. 52:32-44) effective September 1, 2004, all business organizations that conduct business with a New Jersey government agency are required to be registered with the State of New Jersey. Bidders and their subcontractors must submit proof that they are registered with the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue by submitting a copy of their Business Registration Certificate. Failure to provide the Business Registration Certificate prior to award of the contract will be cause for rejection of the bid as being nonresponsive. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17-27. Bids may be held by the Township of Morris for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract. Pursuant to P.L. 2010, c. 108, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-23.3 authorizes a bidder to request withdrawal of a public works bid due to a mistake on the part of the bidder within five days after the opening of the bids. The Township reserves the right to reject all bids pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
