A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Town of Easton, Connecticut is seeking proposals for the renovation of the Tennis/Pickle Ball Courts at Helen Keller Park located at 360 Sport Hill Rd, Easton, Connecticut. The project includes the removal of the existing courts, and the installation of new post tension concrete tennis/pickle ball courts, including fencing and lighting updates. Please be aware this project is being funded by the Connecticut Department of Economic Development through a Small-Town Economic Assistance Program Grant. Bidders are further advised that this project is subject to the prevailing wage requirements of Connecticut General Statutes Section 31-53. The Town of Easton reserves the right to accept or reject any or all options, bids, or proposals, to waive any technicality in a bid or part thereof submitted, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Easton. Minority/Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to apply. This contract is subject to state setaside and contract compliance requirements. Introduction The Town of Easton, Connecticut is seeking proposals for the renovation of the Tennis/Pickle Ball Courts at Helen Keller Park located at 360 Sport Hill Rd, Easton, Connecticut. The project includes the removal of the existing courts, and the installation of new post tension concrete tennis/pickle ball courts. This RFP is not a contract offer, and no contract will exist unless and until a written contract is signed by the Town and the successful proposer. Interested parties should submit a proposal in accordance with the requirements and directions contained in this RFP. Proposers are prohibited from contacting any Town employee, officer or official concerning this RFP, except as set forth in Section 1.6, below. A proposer's failure to comply with this requirement may result in disqualification. If there are any conflicts between the provisions of these Standard Instructions to Proposers and any other documents comprising this RFP, these Standard Instructions to Proposers shall prevail. Please be aware this project is being funded by the Connecticut Department of Economic Development through a Small-Town Economic Assistance Program Grant. SCOPE OF WORK The work shall consist of furnishing all materials, labor, supervision, equipment, tools, supplies and all other expenses in order to conduct the work and comply with Federal, State and local regulations. The Contractor shall obtain any necessary permits. The Contractor shall be responsible to contact CALLBefore-You-Dig prior to beginning site work. E-mail: beth@bbengrs.com Phone: (203)-881-8145 Questions Due Date: Jan 12th 2024, 12:00 PM EST Contract Time All work associated with this scope shall be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed. Completion is defined as the point whether, in the opinion of the Town, the Work is sufficiently complete, in accordance with the documents associated with this request, so that the Work can be utilized for the purposes for which it is intended. When the Contract time is stated on a calendar-day basis, that time shall be the number of consecutive calendar days contained in the Contract period, excluding the time period from each December 1 through the following March 31 (the "winter shutdown period"). The time will be computed as herein provided on a consecutive-day basis, including all Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and non-work days from April 1 through November 30 of each included year. Time will not be charged for days in the winter shutdown period. If the Engineer so approves, the Contractor may work on certain tasks of the Project during the winter shutdown period with no charge being made against the Contract time.
