Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Meriden, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Meriden expressly reserves the right to reject a bid if the bidders historical performance, in the sole opinion of the City of Meriden, has been unsatisfactory in any manner or if the bidder has habitually and without just cause neglected the payment of bills or has otherwise disregarded its obligations to subcontractors, suppliers, or employees. All bonds and insurance required by the Contract Documents to be purchased and maintained by Owner or Contractor shall be obtained from surety or insurance companies that are duly licensed or authorized in the jurisdiction in which the Project is located to issue bonds or insurance policies for the limits and coverages so required. Such surety and insurance companies shall also meet such additional requirements and qualifications as may be provided in the Supplementary Conditions. The prevailing wage rates applicable to any contract or subcontract awarded on or after October 1, 2002 are subject to annual adjustments each July 1st for the duration of any project which was originally advertised for bids on or after October 1, 2002. Each contractor affected by the above requirement shall pay the annual adjusted prevailing wage rate that is in effect each July 1st, as posted by the Department of Labor. The scope of the work for the existing vacant tenant space at 1336 East Main Street (Unit #4) will consist of a landlord fit-out for future Business use tenant. The work shall include demising the space to provide: o Two (2) private offices o A conference space o An open office area o A new bathroom with full ADA compliance and new fixtures and plumbing o Kitchenette with new cabinetry to allow for office break area The construction will consist of: o All new non-combustible walls o New acoustical ceiling with the new LED lighting o All electrical work including the 20 Amp outlets (approx. 40 outlets) o Low voltage/network wiring o Paint, installation of carpet tiles o Glass doors and hardware in each office and bathroom door o Spaces will be supplied with the new HVAC distribution per the new wall layout, which includes: new supply trunk, new return ductwork, tire up lines for hanging, final hanging of flex and registers, supply 2x2 lay in 4 way diffusers, return 2x2 lay in return grills including central grills, start up and balancing after new ductwork is installed, and clean up during and after work o Install one (1) 48x96 two sided cabinet with LED digital display on each side o The existing sign cabinet will be moved up and the LED digital display will be located below the existing sign cabinet. The minimum resolution of the LED is 10mm. LEDs are RGBW. Exterior Site Work 1. Catch Basins, underground infiltrators 2. Reinforced concrete piping (RCP) or High-density polyethylene piping (HOPE) 3. Concrete curbing 4. Pavement patching/repair/gravel 5. Install two (2) light posts The Bidder shall submit a Bid Bond, Certified Check or Bank Check in the amount of 5% of the Bid. The Owner will require that a 100% Performance and Payment Bond be submitted by the Contractor prior to the commencement of work.
