The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Division of Purchases issues this solicitation on behalf of the Division of Maintenance to award a master agreement contract for: Janitorial Services: Bullitt Co. I-65 Welcome Center, The Master Agreement will be for the initial period beginning January 8, 2024 and expiring December 31, 2024. This Solicitation is for custodial and other grounds maintenance to be performed at the Interstate Rest Area and Welcome Center facilities located at mile-point 113.539 on Southbound I-65 in Bullitt County, KY. Approximate daily traffic count is 1700. Lobby (Foyer) Area: The interior lobby (foyer) of the rest area building consists of four (4) windows, three feet and eight inches in size (3'8"), a plate glass door six (6) feet in height; in the center a glass enclosed vestibule that is six feet and six inches (6'6") by ten feet and eight inches (10'8") in size with an inside glass door that is six feet (6') in size. Floors are quarry tile; lobby floors and base are quarry tile; walls and ceilings of gypsum; two (2) wall mounted stainless steel drinking fountains; and a wall-mounted stainless steel map dispenser. Restroom Area for Men: The two (2) separate restrooms for men each consist of quarry tile floor and walls of glazed tile, a ceiling of gypsum board, and a passageway having a floor of quarry tile, walls of glazed tile and a ceiling of gypsum board. Each restroom for men contains three (3) commodes, one (1) being accessible to disabled persons, separated by partition walls of glazed tile masonry blocks with toilet tissue holders attached and with stall doors of painted metal; five (5) urinals; eight (8) lavatories; eight (8) wall mounted mirrors; eight (8) soap dispensers; five (5) wall mounted hand dryers; one (1) trash receptacle; one (1) painted steel exit/entrance door. The Department also reserves the right to make repairs to damaged equipment at its discretion. Question Deadline 12/11/2023 at 12:00 PM ET The Department also reserves the right, in the event of an unforeseen emergency, to have the Contractor perform additional work to restore the rest area to an acceptable standard of cleanliness and safety Restroom Area for Women: The two separate restrooms for women each consist of floors that are quarry tile, glazed tile walls and a ceiling of gypsum board and a passageway consisting of floors that are quarry tile, glazed tile walls and a ceiling of gypsum board. Each restroom for women contains seven (7) commodes, with one (1) being accessible to disabled persons, separated by partition walls of glazed tile masonry blocks with toilet tissue holders and sanitary napkin receptacles attached and with stall doors of painted metal; eight (8) lavatories; eight (8) wall mounted mirrors; eight (8) soap dispensers; five (5) wall mounted hand dryers; one (1) plastic trash receptacle; and one (1) painted steel exit/entrance door. Storage area The rear storage area/plumbing chases consists of a concrete floor, concrete block walls, and a plaster ceiling; two-(2) painted steel entrance/exit doors; and shelves for storage of supplies. Service Area: The Service area consists of one (1) outside storage building located at the rear of the truck parking area.
