This Request for Tender is issued pursuant to a Stage 2 RFT Process under the Vendor of Record Arrangement to obtain RFT Bids from VOR Contractors as defined in Section 1.1 - Definitions of the Request for Supplier Qualification: General Contractors - Category B: Mid-Size or Category C: Major Interior Renovations RFSQ No.: 2021-40421-RFSQ issued by the University on October 22, 2021 (RFSQ). The UCU Elevator Project involves the modernization and improvement of Elevators F4 and P5 within the University Center building located at 85 University Private, Ottawa, Canada. The project aims to enhance safety, reliability, and accessibility while adhering to relevant codes and standards. To ensure accuracy and validate previous findings, a thorough review of the elevator machine room, pit, hoist way, cabin interior, and maintenance log books was conducted. This review served to validate the previous elevator audit and inform the modernization process. By conducting a comprehensive modernization effort, the UCU Elevator Project aims to create a safe, accessible, and efficient transportation system within the UCU building. The project emphasizes compliance with codes and standards, while also improving functionality, aesthetics, and the overall passenger experience. The Project includes, but is not limited to, the following scope of Work, as defined in the Standard Construction Document, CCDC 2 - 2008, Stipulated Price Contract: .1 Renovation of Elevator F4. .2 Finishing to Elevator F4 machine room. .3 Renovation of Elevator P5. .4 Finishing to Elevator P4 machine room. All work for must be completed between: - May 1st 2024 and July 14th 2024 for Elevator F4. - May 1st 2024 and November 30th, 2024 for Elevator P5.
