Award: Texas Environmental Plastics, Ltd. for a bid amount of $1,179,588.45. The City of Corsicana will receive bids for the Corsicana Regional Landfill Sector 14 & 15 Geosynthetic Liner System & Geosynthetic Clay Liner (GCL) project Bids are invited for the items of work, including but not limited to: Labor, superintendence, tools, equipment, materials, utilities, transportation services and other elements required to install a Geosynthetic Liner System and Geosynthetic Clay Liner in a 14.1 acre sector of the Corsicana Regional Landfill. A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid issued by an acceptable Surety shall be submitted with each bid to guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute bond and guarantee forms provided within ten (10) days after notice of award of contract to him. A certified check or bank draft payable to the City of Corsicana or negotiable U.S. Government Bond (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, physical or mental handicap, age, or familial status. The City of Corsicana reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Corsicana for a period not to exceed thirty (30) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidders qualifications prior to the contract award. Potential bidders must be listed as a Plan Holder no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024. All pre- bid questions must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 17, 2024. All contractors/subcontractors which are debarred, suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project.
