Renovation of a retail development in Highlands, North Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a retail development.
**Per Architect There are no current qualifying Bids** Each bid shall be accompanied with a certified check, cash, cashiers check payable to the Town of Highlands ABC Board or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by a corporate surety licensed under the laws of North Carolina to execute such bonds in the amount equal to five percent of the total of the bid shall be submitted with each bid. Surety Company must be listed in the latest use of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. Said deposit shall be retained by the owner as liquated damages in event of failure of the successful bidder to execute the contract within ten days after the award or to give satisfactory surety as required by law. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of 90 days. Bidders may submit a bid prior to the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids by following the instruction outlined in the plans and specifications section entitled Instruction to Bidders. If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope shall be enclosed in a separate envelope with the notation BID ENCLOSED on the face of the interior envelope. Bids submitted prior to bid time shall be addressed and delivered to: Town of Highlands ABC Board ATTN: Josh Ward PO Box 460 (mailing) 210 North Fourth Street (physical) Highlands, NC 28741. It shall be the sole responsibility of the prospective Bidder to insure receipt and delivery confirmation of the bid. Each bidder must be appropriately licensed as a Contractor in the State of North Carolina as provided in General Statutes Chapter 87. Each bidder must have a North Carolina Contractors License at the required limitation for the project. Contractors submitting a Bid on the project must solicit bids from minority subcontractors and provide documentation of and outreach efforts as required by the Special Conditions and Contract Documents. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
