Refrigeration Heroes, Inc. for $40,721.88 A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled at the date and time indicated herein for visual assessment. Measurements and other visual data may be gathered by the vendor to aid the vendor in submitting an accurate bid. Questions specific to this solicitation shall not be asked at this time. Questions shall be submitted in the online bidding system under the Questions tab. Answers will be posted in the online system following the deadline date. All Offerors are charged with a duty to inquire. Submitting an Offer represents that the offeror has read and understands the Solicitation and that its Offer is made in compliance with the Solicitation. Offerors are expected to examine the Solicitation thoroughly and should request an explanation of any ambiguities, discrepancies, errors, omissions, or conflicting statements in the Solicitation. Failure to do so will be at the Offeror's risk. Scope of Solicitation Clemson University is Seeking Bids From a Qualified Contractor to Remove, Purchase, and Install a New Rooftop Refrigeration System at Clemson Blue Cheese, Newman Hall in Clemson, Sc as Detailed in Section Iii Below. This is a One-time Purchase, an Award Will Be Made to One Offeror That is Responsive, Responsible, And Offers the Most Advantageous Pricing to Clemson University. SCOPE OF SERVICE: o The contractor is responsible for removing the existing evaporators, and condensing unit, and connecting refrigeration piping to the university's surplus property metal recycling bin located at 108 Perimeter Rd Clemson SC 29634 Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm. o The contractor must mount new evaporators and condensing units on the roof at the same location as the existing unit. o The contractor is responsible for installing refrigeration tubing from evaporators to condensing unit supporting and insulating as needed. o Regularly communicate progress updates and address any concerns or changes promptly. o The contractor must leak-test the complete system at a standing nitrogen pressure of 250 PSI for 24 hours. o The contractor must evacuate the system to 500 microns or lower. o The contractor must charge the system per O.E.M. specs to type and weight. System unit and check operation, verifying safety control operations and cycle off temperature. Recheck and set the expansion valve to superheat (if necessary). o Conduct comprehensive commissioning tests to verify the performance and efficiency of the new system. o Integrate the new refrigeration unit with existing HVAC and control systems. o Ensure seamless communication and coordination between various components. o Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during testing. o The contractor shall be responsible for the clean-up and removal from the site of all materials generated during the removal and replacement. o The contractor installing the refrigeration system shall protect adjacent areas so as not to damage any property in the surrounding area. o Prepare and submit comprehensive documentation, including user manuals and maintenance procedures. Ensure the unit is labeled detailing how others can contact your company for instruction or issues and which university organization is responsible for its use and operation. o The site shall be maintained so as not to constitute a safety hazard during the removal and installation of the system. The work site shall be left clean after the completion of the installation. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, tools, travel, transportation, and all components necessary to complete installation as indicated herein. Components not specifically mentioned, but necessary to furnish a complete unit ready for use shall also be included. The contractor's performance of the work shall comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations. The contractor shall give required notices, shall procure necessary governmental licenses and inspections, and shall pay without burden to Clemson University, all fees in connection therewith unless specifically provided otherwise. In the event of a violation, the Successful Offeror shall pay all fines and penalties, including attorney's fees and other defense costs and expenses in connection therewith. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
