The Clear Creek Board of County Commissioners is seeking a consultant or team with relevant experience and qualifications in custodial/janitorial services. The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to identify and select a qualified service provider to provide full cleaning and custodial services, including trash removal, in County facilities throughout Clear Creek County If your company has suggested revisions to this schedule, please include it in your response. Confidentiality is imperative in the provision of custodial services. Many of the offices include confidential and proprietary information of a sensitive nature. Applying companies and their employees will be subject to background checks if selected. The service provider shall be required to provide all labor, tools, and equipment required to perform the Services. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the County will furnish the following supplies to be used by the service provider in the course of performing the Services: Can liners for trash cans Paper towel rolls for dispensers Toilet paper rolls for dispensers Liquid soap for soap dispensers Floor cleaner Toiler bowl cleaner Contact Person: Matt Taylor mtaylor@clearcreekcounty.us Miscellaneous: Daily custodial services unless otherwise specified: 1. COMMON AREAS: Refuse containers: o Empty Containers/Replace Liners - All refuse containers shall be completely emptied and a clean, appropriately sized liner installed. If liner is clean and not torn, it does not need to be replaced. o Wipe Clean Containers (1X weekly) - Containers shall be damp wiped clean to remove stains, smudges and dried refuse. o Recycling Containers - Recycling containers for all recyclables are to be emptied into large, area recycling bin. o Area Recycling Bins - Checked to determine level of bin and empty into dumpster if need be. Clean & Disinfect: o Public Counters - Clean and disinfect all public counter space areas. o Handles & Handrails (once a month) - Clean and disinfect door handles and handrails. o Drinking Fountains - Fountains are to be disinfected and free of water spots, stains and smudges. Furniture: o Placement - Furniture, chairs, refuse and recycling containers are to be placed back in their appropriate places. o Damp Wipe - Non-porous furniture shall be damp wiped with disinfectant to remove stains, smudges and dried refuse. Items located on work surface shall not be disturbed. o Vacuum (2X weekly) - Upholstered furniture shall be vacuumed, clean and debris free Windows, Glass & Blinds: o Clean Entry Glass (1X weekly) - Entry glass shall be clean and streak free, inside building to head height (six feet high). Carpet: o Vacuum Carpet (2X weekly) - Carpeted areas of offices, lobbies, hallways, corridors, entrances, entry mats and offices are to be vacuumed dirt free. Furnishings (chairs and wastebaskets, etc.) are to be moved and returned to their original locations after vacuuming. o Vacuum Carpet Stairs (1X monthly) - Carpeted stairwells are to be vacuumed dirt free. Hard Surface Flooring: o Sweep Flooring (1x weekly) - Hard surface flooring shall be swept so as to leave floor in a dirt (dust) free state. o Damp Mop Flooring (1x weekly) - Hard surface floor surfaces shall be damp mopped using a neutral floor cleaner. 2. Clean & Disinfect: o Handles & Handrails - Clean and disinfect door handles and handrails. o Sinks & Countertops - Surfaces are to be wiped down, disinfected and free of water spots, stains and smudges. Restroom Fixtures: o Restocking Dispensers - Restroom dispensers (paper towel, seat covers, toilet paper, soap, etc.) are to be checked daily (see facility schedule). Dispensers shall be filled as needed. Paper rolls shall only be replaced when totally empty, not when paper partially remaining. o Clean Dispensers, Walls and Partitions - Clean dispensers, walls, and partitions to be free of soap scum, finger prints, dirt and smudges. o Clean and Disinfect Restroom Fixtures - Clean and disinfect all porcelain and stainless-steel sings, faucets, counters, lockers, handles, toilets, flush urinals, and ensure urinal partitions to be free of deposits, stains, soap and odors. o Clean and Disinfect Fixture Exteriors - Fixtures (sinks, faucets, toilets, and urinals) exteriors, undersides, and bases are to be cleaned and disinfected with an appropriate cleaner as to remove any deposits which may occur. o Clean and Polish Chrome and Stainless Steel - Plumbing fixtures are to be cleaned and polished so as to produce a shiny, fingerprint free appearance. Mirrors: o Mirror Cleaning - Mirrors to be cleaned with a glass cleaner to leave glass in a spot free, streak free condition. Hard Surface Flooring: o Sweep Flooring- Hard surface flooring shall be swept so as to leave floor in a dirt (dust) free state. o Damp Mop Flooring - Hard surface floor surfaces shall be damp mopped using a neutral floor cleaner. Again, the cleaning schedule above is flexible. If your company has suggested revisions to this schedule, please include it in your response. Responses received after the deadline will NOT be considered and will be returned unopened. All timely and properly prepared Responses will be considered for evaluation. The County reserves the right to reject any and all responses and to waive any informality, technical defects or clerical errors in any reponses as the best interest of the County may require. The County reserves the right to issue addenda to the Request-for-Proposals at any time as a result of questions, change in schedule or other matters.
