Jefferson Township, the Owner, will receive sealed Bids on the above project until the time and date and at the place scheduled below. There will be no pre-bid conference for this project. LAST REQUEST FOR INFORMATION DUE: Thursday, December 14, 2023, no later than 3:00 p.m., Prevailing Time GENERAL CONTRACT Bid: The scope of this contract shall consist of demolition of existing concrete culvert, E&S control measures, excavation and construction of new concrete foundation walls, backfill around foundations, asphalt overlay of bridge approachments, site restoration and provide a laydown area for replacement culvert. Contractor will complete the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents. BID SECURITY: Bid bond or check for 10% of Base Bid Payable to the Owner. Project awardee is required to obtain a Performance Bond for 100% of the contract price, and a Payment Bond for 100% of the contract price. All costs are non- refundable. Bidders should, to the greatest extent feasible, utilize Minority, and Women Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE) in its practice. This contract shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (43 P.S. 165-1 et seq.; 34 Pa. Code 9.101 et seq) or federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (40 U.S.C.A.) may be applicable to this project. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days once filed with the Township.
