Renovation of a multi-residential development in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.

The Sunbury Housing Authority will receive bids from bona fide General Construction and Electrical Construction contract bidders for the following construction work: The base bid includes renovations to the following: (3) apartment units at Scott Tower and (2) apartment units at Chestnut Tower. Plumbing construction work is to be included under the General Construction bid. The proposed contract documents may be examined at the office of the Housing Authority and the Architect. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Sunbury Housing Authority, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory Bid Bond, executed by the bidder and acceptable surety (Treasury Listed) to the Housing Authority in an amount equal to ten (10%) percent of the Base Bid is required to be submitted with the sealed bid proposal. If a bid guarantee is not received, the Housing Authority will reject the bid proposal. The successful bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a satisfactory Performance and Labor & Material Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to one-hundred (100%) percent of the contract price. Surety must be listed on the current U.S. Treasury Circular No. 570. A one year Maintenance Bond will also be required from the successful bidder. Costs for all bonds is the responsibility of the contractor and shall be included as part of the submitted Base Bid. Attention is called to the provision for equal employment opportunity and the compliance with Section 3 Regulations (employment opportunities for low-income persons in HUD-funded construction and modernization projects) and the payment of not less than the wages set forth in the Specifications. The Sunbury Housing Authority is an Equal Opportunity Agency which does not discriminate against any person because of race, color or national origin. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) calendar days subsequent to the opening date of the bids without the written consent of the Housing Authority. The Sunbury Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any information informalities in bids.
