Landscaping and Ground Maintenance The purpose of this solicitation is to solicit bids for on demand landscaping and ground maintenance for various Newark Board of Education (NBOE, District) locations. The NBOE has approximately seventy (70) locations, locations are subject to change' No Bid Bond Required No Performance Bond Required The Newark Board of Education reserves the right to reject payment for any material which fails to meet an acceptable standard of quality These general conditions and requirements are prepared for the purpose of entering into a contract for landscaping and ground maintenance as provided for herein for a two (2) year period with an option to extend the term of the contract for one (2) additional two (2) year period. The anticipated award date is February 1, 2024. Davis-Bacon Act, as amended (40 U.S.C. 3141-3148). When required by Federal program legislation, all prime construction contracts in excess of $2,000 awarded by non-Federal entities must include a provision for compliance with the Davis-Bacon Act (40 U.S.C. 3141-3144, and 3146-3148) as supplemented by Department of Labor regulations (29 CFR Part 5, "Labor Standards Provisions Applicable to Contracts Covering Federally Financed and Assisted Construction"). In accordance with the statute, contractors must be required to pay wages to laborers and mechanics at a rate not less than the prevailing wages specified in a wage determination made by the Secretary of Labor. In addition, contractors must be required to pay wages not less than once a week Certificate of Insurance(s) are required as evidence that the following insurance coverages are in place for the duration of the contract; the Contractor will secure the required insurance at their expense. The Certificate of Insurance must contain the following information: Name of Insurance Company, insurance policy number, policy period, limits of liability, deductibles if any. The Newark Board of Education is to be added as an additional insured; as our interest may appear on all Certificates of Insurance. The NBOE reserves the right to cancel any contract at any time for convenience provided ten (10) days' notice has been given to the vendor
