General and Background Information: The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority ("MARTA") operates the ninth largest transit system in North America, providing bus, rail and para transit services in the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. MARTA transports over 500,000 people in the City of Atlanta and counties of Clayton, DeKalb and Fulton daily. MARTA has approximately 4,540 employees.
