Water System Improvements including 1,211 L.F. of 10-inch water line, 2,032 L.F. of 8-inch water line, 1,598 L.F. of 6-inch water line, 1,490 L.F. of 2-inch water line, and 22 resilient seated gate valves of varying size, 9 fire hydrants, reconnect 48 existing house services, 50 L.F. 16" steel casing (0.312" W.T.) by jack and bore, including all appurtenances and grassing of all disturbed areas. This is a Section 3 Covered Project under the HUD Act of 1968 and Section 3 Residents and Business Concerns are encouraged to apply. The City is committed to providing all persons with equal access to its services, programs, activities, education, and employment regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, disability or age. No submitted bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. All Bidders must have a State of Georgia Utility Contractor License and must employ a state "Utility Manager" certificate holder who will have oversight of all the work. The work to be done consists of furnishing all materials, equipment and labor for the construction of: Water System Improvements including 1,211 L.F. of 10-inch water line, 2,032 L.F. of 8-inch water line, 1,598 L.F. of 6-inch water line, 1,490 L.F. of 2-inch water line, and 22 resilient seated gate valves of varying size, 9 fire hydrants, reconnect 48 existing house services, 50 L.F. 16" steel casing (0.312" W.T.) by jack and bore, including all appurtenances and grassing of all disturbed areas. Time allotted for construction is 180 consecutive calendar days for substantial completion and 210 days for final completion. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
