Please call Jerry 614-899-6180 if you have any further questions A. University: "University of Cincinnati", "UC", "Owner" and the "Contracting Authority" as listed in the Supplementary Conditions. B. Furnish: Purchase and deliver to project site, ready for installation. C. Install: Unpack, assemble, set in final position, fasten in place, make final connections, clean, adjust, and leave ready for use. D. Provide: Furnish and install. E. Receive: Accepting a delivery. F. Final Connections: Complete connections as required and recommended by manufacturer for optimum operation of equipment. G. Drawings, Use of: Do not scale the Drawings. If the contractor chooses to calculate measurements by scaling the Drawings, it is at their own risk and is not considered to be an accurate measurement. The contractor is responsible for the accuracy of measurements, elevations, lines, etc. of the Work. 1.6 WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS A. The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following: 1. Installation of new emergency responder radio equipment and fire alarm monitoring connections. B. Contractor's construction progress schedule showing the sequence, commencement and completion dates, and move-out and-in dates of the University to be included as part of the work and carefully coordinated with the University prior to the state of the work. 1.7 ACCESS TO THE SITE AND PARKING A. General: Contractor shall have limited use of Project site for construction operations as indicated on Drawings, by The General Conditions, and in accordance with the Supplementary Conditions. B. Use of the Site: Limit use of Project site to areas within the Contract limits indicated or, where not indicated, as determined with UC Project Manager. Do not disturb portions of Project site beyond areas in which the Work is indicated. 1. Driveways, Walkways and Entrances: Keep driveways loading areas, and entrances serving premises clear and available to University, University's employees, and emergency vehicles at all times. Do not use these areas for parking or storage of materials. a. All deliveries, offloading and other activities required by the scope of work shall be previously approved by the UC Project Manager and in accordance with the Contracting Requirements in the Supplementary Conditions. b. The Contractor shall validate with the University, City, County, or State agency as to the status of road work impacting traffic flow on, to, and from, campus. 2. Streets: Anticipated work affecting traffic flow shall be coordinated with the Project Manager. A detailed plan of the route to be used shall be submitted to the Project Manager for approval if requested. If temporary controls are needed the Project Manager. a. Any mud and/or spillage from public and/or University street shall be removed without delay. If mud and/or spillage is not removed the Contractor shall be responsible for cost as a result of the University or public agency cleaning of the street. b. Any damage to public and/or University streets resulting from hauling, storage of materials, or other activities related to the work shall be repaired or replaced, at no expense to the University, by the Contractor causing the damage. c. If, in coordination with the Project Manager, it is determined that traffic may be hazardous to traffic and/or pedestrians, a uniformed traffic control officer shall be employed as coordinated with the University at the contractor's expense 3. Parking: Parking for employees of Contractors and subcontractors must secure parking permits from the University and must park cars in area assigned to them. Parking on streets or in restricted areas is prohibited. At the beginning of the work, each contractor shall report to the University the approximate number of parking permits which will be required for all employees, including employees of subcontractor. 4. Condition of Existing Building: Maintain portions of existing building affected by construction operations in a weather-tight condition throughout construction period. Repair damage caused by construction operations.
