1. GENERAL: The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Member Services Call Center (MSCC) has a requirement for replacing UPS Batteries located at the VHA-MSCC, Building 409 Pershing Court, Ft. Riley KS 66442. The requirement involves removing and replacing 64 batteries in the facility 1st Floor UPS in accordance with all federal, local, municipal codes and standards. 1.1 Description of Services: The Contractor shall provide all management, personnel, plant, labor, supplies, tools, equipment, communication devices, transportation, and fuel necessary to remove and dispose of old UPS batteries and install new UPS batteries to the standards defined in this Statement of Work (SOW). 1.2 Background: Building 409 has four stories consisting of open office space (cubicles), private office spaces, public restrooms, breakroom, conference room, and training room. Total square footage of the building is approximately 35,000 square feet. 1.3 Objectives: Obtain a qualified contractor to provide 16 additional UPS batteries and install a total of 64 batteries for our Ft. Riley facility. Forty-eight (48) new batteries provided by the VA (**stored on site at the facility). 1.4 Scope: The Contractor will remove and dispose of 64 old UPS batteries, provide/install sixteen (16) new batteries with (like or similar) and install forty-eight (48) additional batteries (currently stored on site at the facility) for a total of 64 batteries in the 1st floor UPS for Building 409, Ft. Riley, Kansas. The Contractor shall perform all services identified to the standards in this SOW. Item quantities are estimates and it is recommended contractor field verify. 1.5 Period of Performance: The period of performance shall be completed within 60 days from date of award. 1.5.1 Place of Performance: The place of performance for this service is Building 409 Pershing Court Ft.
