It is the intent of the City to hire a qualified Contractor who can provide engineering and design services culminating in contract documents including plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates, complete and ready for invitations for bid to support the construction of a new maintenance office building. Engineering services will also include construction support such as RFI response, shop drawing review, site visits for progress check in, final punch list, and closeout. The City intends to hire a qualified Contractor to provide the following services: Complete documentation, as required, to ready site for building construction; Provide design for the construction of a new maintenance office building: Design to include electrical, geotechnical, structural, civil, landscaping, stormwater, and any other necessary requirements; and Development of AutoCAD drawings ready for the Public Works Bid; and Provide support services during the bidding and construction phases, as needed. The City expects the project to be delivered on a schedule that allows for construction to begin in the fall of 2024. The time frame to complete the contract documents will be negotiated with the successful Contractor. Any Contractor responding to this Request for Proposals (RFP) must be willing to commit the necessary resources to the project within a mutually agreed upon schedule. The proposer shall provide the original (unbound) proposal and three (3) original hard copies, along with an exact copy of the proposal in PDF format on a USB thumb drive. The fee schedule is required to be submitted in a separate sealed envelope along with the proposal. Fax or electronic submission of proposals will not be allowed. The City will award any resulting contract in a manner consistent with the City Purchasing Ordinance.
