**As of February 20, 2024 project was awarded to Yeager Materials, awarded amount is $4,115,140.98.** Bidders and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and possess a Certificate of Eligibility at time of bid opening. A DBE goal of 3% has been established for this project. All other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. Prevailing wages apply to this project. Monthly inspections will be conducted by representatives of "Stephen Sewell, PE, PTOE", the project designers. Detailed weekly inspections will be provided by "Doug Boom, PE", a representative of "City of Henderson" and will include similar review of site conditions and inspection reports as those for daily inspections with emphasis on construction quality and questions related to design intent. A 5% Bid Bond is required with the contractors bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a payment and performance bond in the amount of 100% of the bid. The City of Henderson reserves the right to reject any and all bids and accept the Lowest Responsive and Responsible Bidder. PRIMARY COMPLETION DATE December 15, 2024; Liquidated Damages will be charged at a rate of $700.00 per day after the completion date. Project will follow current Kentucky Standard Specification and Bridge Construction and all contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. Prime contractors and DBE subcontractors must be prequalified at the time of bid opening, all other subcontractors must be prequalified when accepting subcontracts. The project will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder and any change orders will require prior approval from City of Henderson and KYTC.
