This request for proposals will be used by TAMC to select a consultant or consultant team to create state and federal environmental documents for a multimodal transit station in Pajaro1, a community in northern Monterey County that the California Environmental Protection Agency identifies as a disadvantaged community. The community of Pajaro is adjacent to the City of Watsonville, located in Santa Cruz County. In the future, Caltrain, Amtrak Coast Starlight, Monterey-Salinas Transit (MST), and Santa Cruz Metro (METRO) would serve the station, making it a major regional transit hub and an important node in the future rail network with a demonstrated decrease in greenhouse gas emissions and vehicle miles traveled via growth in transit and rail ridership.
