Site work for a fire / police facility in Sydney, Nova Scotia. Design plans call for site work for a fire / police facility.
Construction of a firefighting training facility at the Canadian Coast Guard College in Westmount, Nova Scotia. Custom pre-built fire simulator container buildings will be delivered and installed over proposed new concrete pads. Water used during training will be captured in an proposed underground tank and used again for subsequent training sessions. An above ground propane tank will be installed to supply the approved training burners inside the simulators through an accessible trenched-in supply line. TIMELINE: Design is underway. The project is currently under assessment by the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada. Tender for site preparation work was issued in May and a contractor has been selected. Further details and construction schedules may be confirmed late 2025/early 2026. *Budget is unknown.
