Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Hopkinton, Rhode Island. Working plans call for the addition of a municipal facility; for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
**As of February 15, 2024 , this project has been cancelled due to increase in costs and no definite date for the rebid.** The Work consists of the following: The Work includes the construction of a new wood framed addition with a building area of 4,987 s.f. and renovations to the existing Town Hall with a building area of 3,672 s.f. It also includes associated selective demolition and site work. The deadline for questions received via the Town's website shall be 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27, 2024 Project shall consist of site work, renovations to the existing Town Hall, and a new addition and renovations. The Town of Hopkinton, RI invites Sealed Bids for construction of the Expansion & Renovation of the existing Town Hall. A bid deposit in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid amount shall be submitted with each Bid electronically. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Payment and Performance Bond in the amount of 100% of the applicable maximum Contract Amount. The cost of such bond shall be included in the bid price. Such bond shall be of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the State of Rhode Island. The Awarding Authority will reject bids when required to do so by the General Laws of Rhode Island. In addition, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informalities in bidding and to reject any and all bids if it deems to be in the public interest to do so. Furthermore, the Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any bid if it determines that such bid does not represent the bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified, or if less than three bids are received, or if bid prices are not acceptable without further competition. The Awarding Authority is exempt from sales and federal excise tax to the extent permitted under law; Bidders shall not include such taxes in figuring or in references to any bid.
