Description of Work/Goals and Outcomes: The selected proposer will contract with vendors, assist in organizing and promoting events, handle the staffing and tracking of results for a total of three (3) Saturday large city-wide residential recycling collection events during the spring, summer, and fall of 2024, and up to six (6) Friday mini residential recycling collection events to be held throughout the remaining parts of the year. The proposer will document event results and expenditures and provide to the city for grant reporting. City staff will reserve collection event locations and create and mail event brochures. City staff and consultant will work together to determine which items will be collected at each event. Overall Budget: Provide a budget proposal for each Saturday recycle event and each Friday mini recycle event and provide a total cost for all events during the 2024 calendar year. The proposal shall include a presentation of budget based on number of hours and corresponding billing rates of staff involved. Qualifications/ Requirements: To be considered, the proposer must have extensive experience in recycling, working with local governments and the public, organizing events, and record keeping. In addition, the proposer must have strong oral and written communication skills. The proposer shall have performed similar work for other jurisdictions and must have strong knowledge of rules and regulations related to solid waste, the health department, hazardous waste, and recycling. Proposer must include descriptions of qualifications of key personnel and experience, work samples, and client references.
