Reference Number 0000261179 Question Acceptance Deadline 2023/12/19 12:00:00 PM EST The Back Campus fields are available for use by individuals and groups for physical activity and sport. The fields are comprised of two synthetic turf fields and provide state-of-the-art outdoor facilities on our downtown campus. The multi-purpose fields are Ontario's first International Hockey Federation (FIH) certified pitches and together are believed to be the highest quality two-turf facility for field hockey currently in operation in Canada. The fields were used as a competition venue for the Toronto 2015 Pan Am and Parapan Am Games. The Back Campus Fields are used for recreational workouts and activities, registered programs and instruction, child and youth programming, intramurals, and special events. There are two fields approx. 6122.52 square meters each, the proponent is to verify the actual dimensions on-site. The purpose of this RFP is to retain professional consulting to implement a Dry Nonirrigated Turf as per the specs of FIH Hockey Turf and Field Standards. FIH Approved Global category hockey turf. FIH Approved Innovation Category Dry Turf The Design/installed field must meet the criteria for a FIH certified Category 1 or Category 2 field. Varsity Centres artificial turf field is the highest international standard for performance and safety. Without the maintenance required for natural grass, this FIFA two-star rated turf is available for year-round practice and play. The field measures approximately 10,000 square meters, the proponent is to verify the actual dimensions on-site. Primarily used for drop-in field sports like soccer and Ultimate, high-performance training, and for recreational leagues and tournaments. Secondary uses include practical learning classrooms, day camps, and other special events. The purpose of this RFT is to retain professional consulting to implement the replacement of the artificial turf field with the latest sustainable innovation in artificial turf technology.
