SCOPE OF WORK 103.02 The project includes, but not limited to, the following work. Summary: This project includes trail improvements of approximately 2.5 miles of the Fairbank Trail Way at a proscribe width and a Town Site loop with proscribe widths as well (see segment table). The non-motorized recreational trail is used for hiking, equestrians, and mountain biking. The material to be used for all proposed maintenance and improvements will be 1/4 minus decomposed granite and achieve 95% compaction with proper slopes to ensure drainage is adequate. Water may be provided from multiple water hydrants located throughout Town Site at the permission and ownership of BLM. Description of Work: Furnish all transportation, labor, equipment, materials, supplies and traffic control. Prepare the subgrade and install aggregate resurfacing of existing trail system as described in the specifications and shown on the Maps and Drawings. Work will include but not limited to the installation of proposed aggregate in 3-inch lifts until the proposed 6-inch total resurfacing is achieved. Standard size and conventional equipment may not be suitable since the dense vegetation growth throughout the trail may require the use of compact earth moving equipment instead.
